Spooky Season is here and what better way to start with some fun Boo Baskets! I had so much fun putting these Halloween Boo Baskets together for the kids. I shared on Instagram that I love creating fun gift baskets for the girls and disguising items they are needing and turning them into a gift. For example, last week we were “blessed” with a freak snow storm. We quickly realized that the girls had outgrown all their cold weather pajamas. I decided to take this opportunity to buy some adorable jammies along with some other cute items and package them up into a gift basket for the kids.
Here is what went into this years Halloween Boo Baskets for the Girls. Make sure to also check out the adorable Halloween Pennant Flags I designed! You can download and print from home and they would go perfectly in your Boo Baskets this year! ALSO NOW AVAILABLE IN GIFT TAGS!!!

What is in the Boo Baskets?
The main gift in the Boo Baskets were these adorable Halloween Pajamas. I love how they are light pink with the black and white kittens in witch hat. I felt like it was festive but also subtle enough that the girls could wear them well after Halloween. Who doesn’t love cute kittens in hats?
I got Duncan this sweater that says “Hey Boo”….because, well it was just too cute not to snag. I also got myself a “Hey Boo” T-shirt so I could match him. Here are some other fun pajamas and festive shirts you could use.
I love getting the girls new bows. Isn’t that one of the best parts about having girls? My dear friend, Kelsey at The Elleberry Company makes the cutest bows and when I saw her Halloween styles I instantly knew MY girls needed them. I got the black and white spider web print bow and the simple orange and white polka-dot. I especially love how the orange and white polka-dot bow could be worn year round. And really, the spiderweb one could be too. Head to The Elleberry Company’s Private Facebook Group to be the first to know of new collections and to order. Tell Kelsey that Project Whim sent you!
Some other fun “little” items I threw in their Boo Baskets were…
If you’ve followed me for a while you know I am a HUGE fan of Children’s Books. For me, it is one of the best gifts to give a child. Since we read every night, we are always looking for fun, new books to read. I gave each kid a new fall/Halloween book. Below are some of our favorite books for the fall season!

Fill a basket with Halloween toys, coloring books and crayons, glow sticks, play dough, puzzles, and balloons. Create some fun with a craft kit or gather materials to complete any of these easy, fun Halloween and fall projects — don't forget to include the directions!
You fill the basket with goodies and attach a note that says “You've Been Boo-ed!” You can also opt to leave instructions on how to keep the fun going (my personal favorite) so that the blessings continue. The idea is that the person you are boo-ing does not know who you are.
It's simple! You choose two neighbors, leave a basket of Halloween goodies on their doorstep, ring the doorbell and RUN! Inside the baskets are treats, little Halloween gifts and You've Been Booed instructions for the neighbors to keep the "boo" going.
But just in case you haven't, a boo basket is, well, a basket full of seasonal goodies (though they can also house items like beauty products and books that aren't necessarily seasonal). This can include anything from blankets and candles to candy, cozy socks, plushies, and way more.
The idea behind “booing” is that one person leaves a basket or bag of treats on someone's doorstep with a note and a “boo” sign. The recipient then refills the basket with treats. They then include a similar or the same sign and secretly deliver it to another neighbor who hasn't been “booed” yet.
When Do You Give a Boo Basket? Some mamas choose to hang on to their baskets until Halloween to make the day extra special. Other mamas choose to give Boo Baskets on October 1 so their littles can enjoy the fall treats all month long as the holiday excitement builds.
You can get a Boo Bucket by placing a Happy Meal order either in the restaurant or through the app. There are three different options to choose from for entrees including Chicken McNuggets, a hamburger or cheeseburger with a side of fries or apple slices and a drink.
Ribbon, twine, yarn or string. Littles Carry-AllTM Caddy or other small tote filled with treats like candy, a 4-pack of soda bottles, bead necklaces, bubbles, pencils, crayons, stickers, dollar-store toys and more!
How much is a McDonald's Happy Meal with a Boo Bucket? Prices vary by location. A Happy Meal typically costs between $4 to $7 and normally does not include extra cost for the Boo Bucket, as it replaces the toy that comes inside the Happy Meal.
