Julie Wright was such a constant supporter and advocate for her students and alumni. I am proud for the time we were able to work together and for the impact she leaves with accounting professionals that passed through her classroom.

The UAFS Accounting Prize Patrol visited my Intermediate Accounting II class this morning! It is always a pleasure to host such an event, especially when Latisha Settlage brings the large check!! Three UAFS accounting students were awarded scholarships from the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation. Congratulations Kevin Allen, Travis Johns, and Connor Hadley-Kimbrell!

Thank you Ryan Cating, Ph.D., CPA for making the trip to Fort Smith and presenting to our Advanced Accounting class! Although the session focused on "meeting the MAcc", I think our discussion added value beyond a graduate curriculum with information about the CPA exam, accounting profession, and post-graduation goals. Thank you again for your time and energy! Also - thank you Margaret Tanner for joining the session and supporting our students' journeys!

What a great day for the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Research Symposium. I’m proud of Elizabeth Wootton and Noah Ottman for presenting their accounting focused research. Elizabeth Wootton is an intern with Landmark CPAs in Fort Smith and will continue her studies this fall at the UCA College of Business Master of Accountancy program. Noah Ottman is a sophom*ore and very active on our campus with such activities as tutoring in the Academic Success Center and as a peer mentor for the Business & Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Community. Both are also students in the Myles Friedman Honors program and aspiring future CPAs.Also pictured are peer students, fellow Landmark CPAs interns, and “accounting cheer squad” Millie Crites, @travis johns, Brandon Hammontree, and Austin Miller.
