We did our Valentine's date last weekend because husband works tonight. So I wasn't expecting anything else, but last night he came home with a teddy bear for our daughter and a cheesecake + chocolate covered strawberries for me. 🥰

Nothing. He did ask if I want flowers but I am not the biggest fan of getting flowers and he knows it. I am making him what he wants for dinner tonight. Valentine’s Day can go either way. But my toddler and I had fun making heart cupcakes yesterday for her class today.

Money’s tight but my husband got up an extra half hour early (and he always wakes up 2+ hours earlier than me for his work) and did ALL the dishes (there was a lot, and we don’t have a dishwasher), started laundry, tidied the living room & kitchen, and vacuumed Knowing that I’m having a rough go of it, and was feeling bad about not being able to stay on top of it all, as well as my love language being acts of service, this was PERFECT.
